Egypt constitution vote set for January
Egypt's referendum on a new constitution will be held January 14-15, the official state-run MENA news agency reported Saturday, citing interim president Adly Mansour.
The draft constitution would ban religious parties and put more power in the hands of the military.
This come months after a military coup in July unseated Islamist leader Mohamed Morsy, the democratically-elected President. The coup touched off a series of protests that ended in violence.
